Lake States Grouse Collaborators

Several grouse organizations in the Great Lakes Region have joined forces to better collaborate on mutual interests.  Generally, these groups are advocates for Greater Prairie-chicken, Sharp-tailed Grouse and Ruffed Grouse. The Grouse Partnership is proud to be among the collaborators.

Minnesota Prairie Chicken Society

In 1973 out of concern for the plight of the prairie chicken grew the Minnesota Prairie Chicken Society, with its primary goal of increasing public awareness of prairie chickens and their grassland habitat.


Minnesota Sharp-tailed Grouse Society

MSGS is dedicated to the management and restoration of sharptails in Minnesota for hunters and non-hunters.



Wisconsin Sharp-tailed Grouse Society

We are a group of people from diverse backgrounds with the common goal of protecting and managing the Sharp-tailed Grouse population in Wisconsin. 




Michigan Sharp-tailed Grouse Association

Promoting the propagation of sharp-tailed grouse in Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas through sound scientific management.
